Este juego me sorprendió, al principio no lo iba a descargar porque se veía simple, pero lo descargué y me gustó mucho. Me recuerda a Kirby y Mario bros

i know this game is a rip off to kirby

wait, i commented in itch for the first time?, wow

Will we ever get a "Cherry Rescue! 2" or a remake for it with the GBC update?? I'd love to see this game in colors <3

I'll most likely return to game making when I have the motivation and energy in the future. For now, I'm focusing on commissions and personal artworks.

Fair enough, keep the  great work :D

This is really cute, and I love it. I’m definitely saving this for later.

Although, I think it would be nice if the levels were a bit longer and there were checkpoints.

But overall, 10/10!

EDIT: AHHH I’m on the boss fight and it’s so hard, I barely have any time to react to the bullets and it made me straight up rage quit. But I still love it.

Is a sequel planned for the future?

Possibly, if I get the motivation to make a game again, and have an idea on what to make.

what software did you use to make the cutscenes and boxart?

I used GB Studio for the in-game programming and cutscenes, and Affinity Designer + Photo for the graphic design box art.

K thanks!

Is the whole game for sale with its files and its programming?

No.

No sequel for the game ?

u should add a save system ngl

The platform placement made the early game interesting, and I liked the characters! The mine level was difficult because I couldn't see what was below. All in all a very well fleshed out game.

eaugh why does Barry slide after he moves? It's killed me like 23 times -__-

Which engine did you use for this? Loving the art.

Made with GB Studio 2.0 beta.

Changing the rules of the game after 5 levels? For shame. Having to start the whole level over is ridiculous either way.

Plus, the sticky movement was a pain to begin with.

I appreciate the jump though.

lol i agree the physics are jank but other than that, just git gud at the game noob :)

...

speedrunning the game ITS RAGE.

dis goim veri  good

Dude, thank you for making this! Its honestly a really fun Kirby style game.

It reminds me a lot of Kirby too!

I'd love to buy a physical release of this game! It's adorable!!!

At the end of 1 - Grasslands, I jumped on the guy that shoots stuff and simultaneously won, and it ended up crashing. :/

Really fun, lots of level   variety and nice lil challenge!

nice

This is amazing!

Great gameboy game! It is in my Top 5 of the week!

Check my video!

Very good game.

Took me right back to my Gameboy days in the 90s... super fun to play, even though I am terrible at platformers!

Cherry Rescue definitely captures that classic GameBoy feeling in both visuals and general gameplay. Though the levels felt a bit short, they still stirred much nostalgia for the old games, and I like that in this sort of creation. The music was pretty good, too.

Good job, dev.

Super fun, really dope art. The only issue I ran into was that the controls are really slidey. It would keep moving after I let go of the right and left arrows.

Super cute! I played Robby's day out and saw your progress updates for cherry rescue in the GB studio discord- love the artwork especially :)

😊👍

Sweet game little game!
It gives me the old memories of my old gameboy xD

It's a cute little game. The only thing really bothering me is  the jump height. All the little characters are cute.
