The platform placement made the early game interesting, and I liked the characters! The mine level was difficult because I couldn't see what was below. All in all a very well fleshed out game.
Cherry Rescue definitely captures that classic GameBoy feeling in both visuals and general gameplay. Though the levels felt a bit short, they still stirred much nostalgia for the old games, and I like that in this sort of creation. The music was pretty good, too.
Super fun, really dope art. The only issue I ran into was that the controls are really slidey. It would keep moving after I let go of the right and left arrows.

Possibly, if I get the motivation to make a game again, and have an idea on what to make.
what software did you use to make the cutscenes and boxart?
I used GB Studio for the in-game programming and cutscenes, and Affinity Designer + Photo for the graphic design box art.

Changing the rules of the game after 5 levels? For shame. Having to start the whole level over is ridiculous either way.
Plus, the sticky movement was a pain to begin with.
I appreciate the jump though.

At the end of 1 - Grasslands, I jumped on the guy that shoots stuff and simultaneously won, and it ended up crashing. :/

It's a cute little game. The only thing really bothering me is the jump height. All the little characters are cute.
